When you’re writing a poem, if you really love the writing and the choice of language, you can spend two or three hours just on one word, until you find just the right word that says what you want to say.

The poet doesn't speak with the word but the word speaks within the poet, who resides in the word.

The poet's word is the entire world. Not the tangible earth, not the fluid water, but the earth inside the earth and the water that makes the water fluid.
