MARC KERKHOFS (4)
Poetry has a much longer 'shelf life'. Prose, and especially contemporary 'pop' prose, has a much shorter life span, is more tendentious and therefore more volatile.
Poetry is like a painting; even after centuries, people still can admire it.
The poet is someone who describes his fall
from his tumble to the earth.
A tear is the magnifying glass of the soul;
what you see through it is poetry.
